Lump-sum

Cost-plus

Cost-plus contracts, sometimes called cost-reimbursable contracts, require buyers to cover the cost of the job in addition to a set percentage that the seller would charge for supplying the goods and services. The actual cost of any materials, tools, labor, and overhead associated with managing the project is what sellers bill customers for. According to the contract’s provisions, sellers tack on an additional fee to earn a profit. Over a predetermined percentage, some vendors choose an incentive payment option. All rates, percentages, and permitted and incurred expenditures are specified in a cost-plus contract. The contract frequently specifies the highest sum that sellers may spend. Any expenditure that exceeds that sum requires the buyer’s consent.

The contract’s conditions cover all prices, including any markup fees for supplies and labor. These rates apply for the whole term of the contract after it is finalized and approved.
